MegaMind Writer

The “writer” part in this application’s name may trick you into thinking that MegaMind Writer is a word processor, a text editor. The “writer” part has nothing to do with writing text; it refers to the fact that you can use this tool to write (a.k.a. burn) data onto discs. With MegaMind Writer you can burn data onto CDs, create audio CDS, burn disc images, and more.

Download an installer, run it, and then follow a setup wizard’s instructions. These are the standard steps you must go through to install software applications on Windows PCs. These are also the steps you must go through to install the MegaMind Writer software application on your Windows PC.

Please note that during the installation process, the aforementioned setup wizard will present offers to install additional software on your PC. When I installed MegaMind Writer on my PC, I was presented with multiple offers to install additional software on my PC. I was able to opt out of installing all but one: Genieo. I could not opt out of installing Genieo on my PC.

Six buttons are presented on MegaMind Writer’s welcome screen. They clearly present the functionality MegaMind Writer has to offer:
Data Disc – burn data on a CD, burn data on a DVD.
Audio Disc – burn an audio CD or DVD.
Video Disc – create a new DVD-video project.
Write Image – take an ISO, CUE, IMG image and burn it onto a CD or DVD.
Copy Disc – copy a CD or DVD directly to another CD or DVD.
Read Disc – copy the contents of a CD or DVD to a disc image (create a disc image).

Alongside the functionality presented above, MegaMind Writer can also erase or format discs and it can collect disc info.
